Happy New Year! Hope you were able to enjoy the holidays.

Thanks to George and those who helped mark the trails, now we just wait for the snow to fly.

At our December meeting we discussed making some changes to the Bylaws to bring them more current, we be voting on the proposed changes during the upcoming meetings.

Upcoming events listed below, unfortunately we have cancelled the Club Trip due to lack of snow in the area we planned on staying. If you have any ideas for a new area or weekend let us know.

December Newsletter 2017

November 28, 2017

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! December will be full of fun activities to get you in the holiday spirit.

December 2nd Holiday Train with Parker Power Equipment and the Depot starting about 3pm, we will have hot chocolate, hot dogs, and more! Please remember to bring donations for the food bank!

December 5th Board Meeting at The Depot 6:30

December 9th General Meeting/ Holiday social will be held at the Caledonia Lions Club House 7630 Linwood Rd. Meeting will begin at 5:30pm, after the meeting club will provide an assortment of appetizers, sandwiches, and snacks. There will be a 50/50 raffle and the new member raffle.
There is not a bar, so we have decided that everyone attending would bring a bottle of booze, wine, beer, or soda. Children are welcome and there will be special gifts for them. Instead of a gift exchange, we ask you to bring a donation for the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin collection. They need personal care items, art supplies, laundry detergent, k-cups, dish detergent etc… Also, if you like to bake, please bring something for dessert and a cookie exchange. We are also responsible for clean-up after the party, so any help would be appreciated. Hope to see you there! Please RSVP with what you’re bringing and etc us know if you plan on bringing kids. Email, text, or call Theresa if you have not done so already.

Fall is here! Get your sleds tuned up and ready to hit the trails, snow is already falling in the North Woods! We have several fun activities coming up.

Tuesday November 7th : Board Meeting at The Depot 6:30pm (if interested in helping with Holiday Train please attend)
Sunday November 12th General Meeting/Brunch: 13432 6 1/2 Mile Rd, 53108 Caledonia. Meeting will begin at 11AM, we will have a prize for best dressed Packer Fan, strip cards, and other raffles. We will have the game on after meeting. Club will contribute with ham, rolls, vodka, bloody mix, oj, and soda. Please bring a dish, dessert, or bloody fixings, also bring beer or anything else you’d like to drink. Please RSVP.

Club Trip: Wednesday January 17th thru Sunday January 21st. Musky River Lodge on Lake Alice in Tomahawk. This is a non-refundable location after 12/1/17 so a $50 per person non-refundable deposit is required if you want to stay. The Lodge tents for $550 per night plus $200 cleaning fee and we will split the cost over the number of people staying. We will discuss more at the meeting.

We are having a sale on all Sno-Lords apparel, the proceeds will fund upcoming raffles for club members.

It’s time for the our first club meeting of the season! Hope you all had a great summer!

Not too much to say for our first newsletter of the season, but that will change after our first meeting when we begin to discuss our upcoming events. We will begin setting dates for our Highway Clean-up, Chili dump, and Christmas Party. We will discuss idea for club rides, Poker Run/Raffle, and any other ideas. We’ll be looking for volunteers to attend the AWSC Fall workshop as well. Attending a conference is a great way to learn more about the sport of snowmobiling and have your voice heard! If you would be interested in attending, please attend a meeting and let us know.

Theresa & Keith will be hosting our first meeting as a welcome back cookout & potluck. 8700 Nicholson Rd., Caledonia. Burgers, brats and hotdogs on the menu. We will have beer soda and water. Bring along a dish to add and a maybe a lawn chair. Stop in after 5. We will hold a meeting around 6:30. If you work later just stop in to say hi to some fellow club members. End of Season Newsletter 2017

April 25, 2017

Hello Everyone!

This will be the final newsletter of the 2016-2017 season. During the last meeting, we decided to donate the $80 raised from the White Elephant sale to the Food Pantry.

Elections were also held during the April meeting. Below are the results:

There were suggestions made of venues to hold our meetings: Depot, Burgey’s, & Greg’s, this will be considered at our next meeting.

Highway Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday May 6th, meet at Husher Pub at 8AM. Complimentary lunch and drinks will be provided at Husher. Hope to see you there!

We are planning on having a summer cookout at Brad & Katie’s, we will send out more information once details are finalized.

April Newsletter 2017

Hello Everyone! This year’s season has come to an end, although it wasn’t for long we are thankful we could open the trails this year.

During our March meeting, we held our Annual White Elephant Auction/Bake Sale, much thanks to those who donated, we raised $80 to donate. If you have any suggestions on where to donate, please bring them to the April meeting.

At our last meeting, we will be setting dates for our Spring Highway Cleanup & cookout, Tent Cleaning if needed, and Groomer and Trail work. There will be a wrap up newsletter to specify those dates decided on at the April meeting.

There is a clean-up scheduled for April 15th 9-1pm at Great Lakes Dragstrip to clean-up the grass from Winterfest.

We will also have Club Elections at the last meeting of the 2016-2017 season.

The following positions are up for the election with these nominees:

March Newsletter 2017

Hello Everyone!

Time to clean out your closets and garage because our annual White Elephant/Bake Sale will be at our March meeting. Bring these items to the meeting and will be auctioning them off….one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! The money raised from the sale will be donated to a charity or family in need in our community. We will decide at the meeting where to donate.

Also we will be looking for nominations for office for upcoming elections at our April meeting. The positions opening up will be President, Vice President, Treasurer, Sergeant of Arms, and Board Member positions. This is a great way to be involved in the club and support snowmobiling. If you are interested, please let another club member know so they can nominate you at the March meeting.

Our Poker Run and Raffle was a great success! Thank you to Board for planning this year’s event. Thanks to Burgey’s Pub and Prime for hosting our wrap up party and to those who volunteered during the event.

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone has been able to get up north and ride!!!

Hot Dog/Hot Cocoa Trail Stand: With the lack of snow, we were unable to open our stand in January. If we get snow this month we plan to open the stand.

Winterfest: Thank you to those that volunteered their time at Winterfest to help put up and take down the tent.

Club Apparel: We have club apparel available at the meeting , please ask if interested. We have tshirt, long sleeve tees, hooded sweatshirts, hats, beanies, can koozies and decals.

Poker Run & Raffle: Poker Run tickets are available, please stop by Parker Power Equipment to pick up tickets to sell or purchase. The Poker Run is this month, drawing will be held at Burgey’s Pub & Prime Saturday February 25th, drawing at 6PM. We will need volunteers! We will also need gifts or gift baskets from local businesses for our walk around raffles so please help by getting donations.

January Newsletter 2017

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone had a great Holiday. Thank you to all who participated in the Christmas Train event! We had a great time and great turnout and a special thanks to Sue at The Depot for her diligence in working with Canadian Pacific! The holiday train stopped before getting to the crossing and drove by at a snail’s pace!

This year’s snowmobile safety class is complete and was a great success. Thank you to Katie for organizing the class, there was 15 participants and all passed!

We received some early snow this year and we hope you were able to enjoy the local trails. We also had our first Sunday club ride, thanks to all who came out it was a great ride!

Poker Run tickets are available, please stop by Parker Power Equipment to pick up tickets to sell or purchase. The Poker Run is the month of February, with the drawing being held at Burgey’s Pub & Prime Saturday February 25th, drawing at 6PM. We will need volunteers! We will also need gifts or gift baskets from local businesses for our walk around raffles so please help by getting donations.

Winterfest is Saturday January 21st at Great Lakes Dragway. If you’re interested they final planning meeting for Winterfest will be held at Parker Power Equipment January 10th 6pm.

We would like to organize our Hot Dog/Hot Cocoa stand on the trail by The Depot snow permitting for January and February. We can discuss at the next meeting.
