Hello Everyone! Fall is here and that means there are a lot of fun events coming up with the Sno-Lords!
Grab a pen and paper and write these dates down in your calendar:

October 10th: Highway Clean-Up---we will meet at Husher Pub at 8am
October 17th: Chili Dump--- Brad and Katie Lauer will be hosting it at their place.
Please see attached invite and RSVP back to them!
October 16th-18th: Milwaukee Snow Show at State Fair Park Expo Building
October 30th-November 1st: AWSC Fall Workshop---this year it will be held in
Appleton, WI. We are looking for volunteers to attend. This is
a great way to get involved and learn more about the sport of
snowmobiling and to get your voice heard! Contact Ken Parker or
myself if you are interested in attending the workshop.

We need someone to volunteer to organize the Club Trip this year. If anyone is interested or knows of a place to go please contact Ken Parker or myself at the meeting. An idea was brought up at the September meeting of doing Club Rides every Sunday when trails are open. We would meet at Burgey’s Pub. Details to follow.

We will doing a Poker Run this year. Thank you to Joanne and Theresa for volunteering to organize the raffle. They ask that if you own a business or know of a business that would be interested in making a $50 donation to advertise on our poster, please bring in their donation and business card to the October meeting. Any questions please contact Joanne at 262-639-2162. More details to follow.

We will be printing a new Member Directory this year! Please contact myself if your address, email address, or phone numbers have changed.

Reminder: Club Membership Dues are to be paid for General Members by the Christmas Party in order to attend the party! Board Members---your dues are to be paid by the October meeting! Family Memberships are $40 and Single Memberships are $25.

Hope to see you at our upcoming events! We always have a great time and it’s a great way to get involved in the sport of snowmobiling! Remember…we would not be able to ride and have fun on the trails if it were not for Snowmobile Clubs and the volunteers that take their time and dedication to make the sport what it is today! So, please get involved…any little part makes a BIG difference!

Hello Everyone! Here is your Summer Event Newsletter!

Our Spring Highway Clean-Up is scheduled for this Saturday, May 9th at 8am. We will be meeting at Husher Pub. The more people we have to do the cleanup, the sooner we will be done. After the cleanup, we will meeting back at Husher Pub for lunch! Rain date will be the following Saturday, May 16th.

Let’s GO BREWERS!!! For those who are interested we will be attending a Brewer game on Saturday, August 15th at 6:10pm! The Brewers will be playing against the Philadelphia Phillies. The tickets will be around $35/person depending on how many people sign up. If I get 25 or more people to sign up, then we can get a Group Discount. We will arrive about three hours before the game for some tailgating fun! More details to follow for those who sign up. Please RSVP to myself via email or phone by Wednesday, May 20th. I will order the tickets after May 20th when I have a count of everyone that’s going and then I’ll know for sure the exact cost of the tickets. The tickets then will need to be PAID IN FULL by Sunday, June 14th. If for some reason you have to cancel going to the game (I understand that situations come up especially since the game isn’t until mid-August), then I will try to find others to take your tickets and you will get a FULL REFUND. However, if I am unable to find someone to take your tickets, then there will be a $10/ticket NON-REFUNDABLE deposit.

Winterfest: Chris Anderson asked me to forward the following on to all of you:

“The alliance is having a May meeting to plan for the Winterfest event. The Snow Chiefs have ran the radar run and sold food at the South Hills events. With the trailer raffle and the new venue I was asked if our club is willing to help at this event. The planned date for this is Jan 23. Can I count on anyone from our club to help at this event? Unfortunately I'm going to cancel doing the Brewer game due to lack of participation. Thank you to the 3 of you that responded to go but unfortunately it didn't work out. Hope everyone's summer is off to a great start! See you in September!

Hey club members…get a head start on your Spring Cleaning by cleaning out your closets and garage because we will be having our annual White Elephant/Bake Sale at our March meeting!  Bring these items to the meeting and we will be auctioning off those items…one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!  The money we raise from the sale will be donated to a charity or family in need in our community.  We will decide at the meeting where to donate the money.

Our Calendar Raffle will be starting March 1^st!  Finish selling your tickets!  Angie S. will be at the Shamrock Pub on Saturday, February 28^th from 6-8pm for you to hand in your tickets and money.  If you cannot make it that day, then you can call her to set up a time and place to meet.  Also, Angie is still looking for walk around raffle prizes for the Wrap Up Party on Saturday, March 28^th.

We will also be looking for nominations for office for elections at our April meeting.  The positions that will be opening up are:  President, Vice President, Treasurer, Sergeant of Arms, and 2 Board Member positions.  This is a great way to get involved in the club and the sport of snowmobiling!  If you are interested, then let another club member know so that they can nominate you at our March meeting. 

The AWSC Spring Convention is March 20^th-22^nd in Fontana, WI.  If anyone is interested in attending the convention to represent our Club, let us know at the meeting.

Thank you to Pam W. for planning our Club Trip this year!  The new place was great and everyone had a great time!

Thank you to those who helped and attended our Hot Dog Stand on the trail by The Depot!  It was a huge success and it was great to get our name out there to other snowmobilers!  A BIG Thank You to The Depot for their generosity in letting us use their pavilion.  They went above and beyond to make our day a success!

Thank you to those who helped build our float and participated in the Burlington Christmas Parade!  We had a great time again!  Also, thank you to those who came to the parade to support us! 

Our Snowmobile Safety Class was a success! Thank you to Katie for organizing the class and to the instructors that participated as well!

Our Calendar Raffle is this March! Angie S. has the tickets printed and will be handing out your raffle tickets at the meeting!  We have a lot of sponsors this year that are helping to support our Raffle!  More details to follow at the meeting.   

Our Annual Club Trip is approaching soon!  We will be staying at the Muskie River Lodge in Tomahawk, WI February 4^th-8^th. If interested, you need to talk to Pam W. at the meeting.  She is looking for at least 4 more people to go.  Details to follow at the meeting about the trip, so if you signed up to go then you need to attend the January meeting to get the information!

Our Christmas Party was a great time!  The Racine Round About again provided a great venue for our party with great food and music for dancing! Thank you to those who either donated toys or cash to the Tex Reynolds’ Toys for Tots charity!  They appreciated our generosity!

Winterfest is Saturday, January 24^th at the South Hills Country Club.

We will be again organizing our Hot Dog/ Hot Cocoa stand on the trail by The Depot snow permitting for January and February.  We are looking to have it coincide with The Depot’s Meat Raffle that they host on the 3^rd Saturday of the month.  Details to follow.
