Hello Everyone! Fall is here and that means there are a lot of fun events coming up with the Sno-lords!

Upcoming Events:

October 8th: Highway Cleanup – Meeting at Husher Pub at 8AM

October 14th – 16th : Milwaukee Snow Show at State Fair Park Expo Building ( We will have a bus going on the 14th, leaving from The Depot 5:30-6pm, Cost $10/person. The bus will leave the show at 10pm

AWSC Fall Workshop - Oct 28 - 30, 2016. Chula Vista, WI Dells .

Chili Dump- TBD

Christmas Party has tentatively been scheduled for either Dec 3rd or 17th – Julie is organizing

We plan to participate in the Christmas Train event again this year as well, more information to follow as we get closer.

At our September meeting we voted to donate funds from our White Elephant Auction/Bake Sale of $150 and matched the $150 from the club to Donny Arndt’s family, a past club member.
If anyone is interested in organizing a club trip please contact Ken Parker or myself at the meeting. We are still open to doing club rides every Sunday when trails are open, meeting at Burgey’s Pub.

At the upcoming meeting we will need to decide if we want to do a poker run or calendar raffle this year.

Reminder: Club membership dues are to paid for General Members by the Christmas Party in order to attend the party! Board Members your dues are to be paid by the October meeting! Family memberships are $40 and Single memberships are $25

We hope to see you at our upcoming events! We always have a great time and it’s a great way to get involved in the sport of snowmobiling! Remember…. we would not be able to ride if it were not for the Snowmobile Clubs and volunteers that take their time and dedication to make the sport what it is today! So, please get involved…every little bit makes a big difference!

Our Spring Highway Clean-Up is scheduled for this Saturday, May 14th at 8am. We will be meeting at Husher Pub. The more people we have to do the cleanup, the sooner we will be done. We will also be having our “Clean the Tent Day” as well. If we have enough people, we will have half of us do the highway cleanup and the other half cleaning the tent so that we can get done quicker. If we don’t have enough people then the tent cleaning will be after the highway clean up at Parker Power Equipment. We will be hosting lunch afterwards too!

If anyone has any fun ideas for Summer Events contact one of the Officers or Board Members to get the word out to the rest of the members!

Hey club members…get a head start on your Spring Cleaning by cleaning out your closets and garage because we will be having our annual White Elephant/Bake Sale at our March meeting! Bring these items to the meeting and we will be auctioning off those items…one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! The money we raise from the sale will be donated to a charity or family in need in our community. We will decide at the meeting where to donate the money.

We will also be looking for nominations for office for elections at our April meeting. The positions that will be opening up are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Sergeant of Arms, and Board Member positions. This is a great way to get involved in the club and the sport of snowmobiling! If you are interested, then let another club member know so that they can nominate you at our March meeting.

Our Poker Run and Raffle was a great success! Thank you to Theresa and Joanne for planning this event! Also, thank you to Burgey’s Pub for hosting our Raffle Wrap Up party and to those that volunteered at the event! Here’s a list of the winners:

We are planning a Bus Trip to the SnoCross Races at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva on March 19th. The cost is $10/person for the bus. You will need to purchase your ticket to get in when we get there. The bus leaves promptly at 3pm from The Depot and will be returning to The Depot at 12am. If interested you need to RSVP to Ken Parker by the March meeting with $10 paid to him. It will be a great time!

FYI—Our club tent is available to any club members throughout the year free of charge. Notify Julie to put your name on the list for the date that you need it to reserve the tent for you. We will also be having a “Clean the Tent” day this Spring. Volunteers will be needed.

The AWSC Spring Convention is March 18th-20th in Green Bay, WI. If anyone is interested in attending the convention to represent our Club, let us know at the meeting.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and that Santa was good to you!

Thank you to those who participated in the Christmas Train event! We had a great time again! Also, thank you to those who came to support us!

Our Snowmobile Safety Class was a success! Thank you to Katie for organizing the class and to the instructors that participated as well!

Our Christmas Party was a great time! The Racine Round About again provided a great venue for our party with great food and music for dancing! Thank you to those who either donated toys or cash to the Tex Reynolds’ Toys for Tots charity! They appreciated our generosity!

Poker Run and Raffle tickets are available! See Theresa at the meeting to get your tickets. The raffle is February 17th-20th with it ending at Burgey’s Pub on Sat. Feb. 20th with a live band! We will need volunteers! Also, we need gifts or gift baskets from local businesses for our walk around raffles so please help by getting some donations.

We now have Club shirts, baseball hats, beanies, can koozies, and decals available for sale! Tshirts = $9, Long sleeve tshirts= $16, Sweatshirt = $27 (add $2 more for XXL for any shirt), Baseball hats =$20, Beanies = $15, Koozies = $3 each or 2 for $5, and Decals = $2.

Winterfest is Saturday, January 23rd at Great Lakes Drag way! We will be discussing at the meeting about whether we want to set up our dice game or volunteer in other ways to help support this event!

We will be again organizing our Hot Dog/ Hot Cocoa stand on the trail by The Depot snow permitting for January and February. We are looking to have it coincide with The Depot’s Meat Raffle that they host on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Details to follow.

Also, please show your support to the Raymond Trail Breakers Poker Run (Jan. 15th – Feb. 13th) and the Caledonia Sno-Balls Poker Run (Jan. 31st – Feb. 6th).
